Governor John de Jongh Jr. Lifts Curfew Territorywide, 
All Government Employees Asked to Report at 10 a.m. Today

As of 6 a.m. Governor John P. de Jongh Jr. has lifted the curfew which was imposed as 6 p.m. Sunday for St. Croix and 8 p.m. Sunday for St. Thomas - St. John. Government employees, territorywide, are being asked to report to work at 10 a.m. today.

Currently, the roadways are being cleared of debris but remain passable. However, the Department of Public Works is asking the general public to remain off the roads unless necessary to allow road crews time to clear debris.

According to the National Weather Service the Hurricane Watch for the Virgin Islands has been lifted. The Weather Service also does not anticipate extending the Flash Flood Warning for the Virgin Islands beyond 8:45 a.m. today.
